Passionate supporters of the pop star are calling for that a person who breached a fence and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be detained or deported from Singapore.

A viral video shows the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a promenade accompanied by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "free after being taken in", though court documents showed that he was due to be present on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram profile features videos of him disrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last December.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Fans Express Concern Over the Star's Past Trauma

Many supporters criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said a further response on Instagram.

A number of supporters also questioned security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others demanded online networks to remove Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande appeared startled when she was grabbed by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Numerous of fans had assembled in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The film, to be launched on 21 November, is the second of a two-film adaptation of the acclaimed theatrical production Wicked, which focuses on the surprising bond between two very different characters.

The production itself is a spin-off of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful movie of 2024 in the UK, and scored a dozen award recognitions, earning two for best costume and production design.
