Emma Raducanu made it to the third stage in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slams this year.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain will not compete in her final two events in 2025 due to a health issue that has affected her over the past 10 days.

The 22-year-old was due to play in events in Asia but chose to travel back to recover prior to beginning her preparations for 2026.

Her upcoming training will include coach Francisco Roig, as they will keep partnering for the upcoming season.

She had her blood pressure taken during her first-round match versus Ann Li in Wuhan and retired when trailing 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.

Another medical visit was necessary medical attention at the recent Ningbo Open, where she fell in a three-set match to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in the opening round.

Her movement was far from freely in the deciding set versus Zhu because of a lower back issue that has affected her at times this year.

Such performances signaled a promising season, in which the player advanced into the international top 30 after a long gap in more than three years, finished with a trio of defeats.

Raducanu had three match points before losing to American player Jessica Pegula in round three in Beijing last month.

She secured twenty-eight matches during 2025 and reached the semi-finals in Washington, but the highlight of her season was at March's Miami Open.

Ranked first in Britain advanced to the quarters of this WTA 1000 tournament, defeating eighth seed Emma Navarro on the way then falling in a three-set match to Pegula, ranked fourth.

Her coach was trainer Mark Petchey from the Miami event through Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role in time for the US Open.

The first plan with the ex-coach of Rafael Nadal was until the end of the season but the partnership will continue, with a training session scheduled for the end of the year.

She mentioned that the trial session alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as they aimed to maintain secrecy.

She came very close to defeating top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka at the first competition with Roig in August's Cincinnati tournament.

Roig joined her in New York, where she reached the third round prior to losing to Elena Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon winner.
